I want to see it on my desktop monitor and play with the images before a final opinion, but it's far easier from what I can see to imagine a lamination scenario vs. an ED (no, not that ED, you pervert ) cause.
Not that I'm well-versed in laminations or die cracks, but my first initial thought was a residue of sorts. I held back from saying anything, as I wasn't sure, but after @Insider had his say, I looked again. The anomaly seems to fade at the bottom, and the color of it seems to pick back up in spots. I'm thinking it may be left over shellac, or similar. I'd try the acetone, if no other reason then to prove us incorrect.
