    Looks like a retained lamination issue.
    Welcome to CT.
    When submitting a coin for analysis, please post both sides of coin and ask a question, maybe, "What is the mark on this coin."

    Not a retained lamination.
    Just a neat huge lamination. De-laminated!
    Common on many wheat cents.
    Nice find.

    Very nice lamination error. It's a detached lamination on a Wheat Ear Cent. Hang onto that one. It should be worth something in the neighborhood of $10.00.
