What do 1,200+ lbs of Lincoln cents look like?

If it's only off center on one side, it is a misaligned die strike. The more off center the better. If it is off center on both sides, it is off center.

I cannot imagine what your eyes are going to feel like after looking at 192,000 pennies with the details you clearly are.

Haha, me neither. What I’m doing is sorting by year on years I want to look more at later. Then I stack like 5-10 and look at the exact same coin over and over, dumping it and looking at the next one. It makes it much easier to spot differences (varieties). I’m only finding those because they’re dates I’m pulling aside. I wonder what all I’m missing?!

Probably 191,900 very common coins with no varieties. :D

I guess until one is sold at auction we will never know, but PCGS values an MS66 at $90.

That's over 14 rolls a day, every day of the year!!!!!! I am amazed you haven't gone blind. Actually, if the age in your profile is correct I amazed you found the time.

@sakata Kids these days don't have to go to an encyclopedia, or search and read in hand. They type keywords into a search bar. My son has school provided tablets to use as references. Unless you were referring to the girl chasing?

I have slowed down now. Last year this time of year I was going through anywhere between 30 and 40 thousand coins a week. It was a mixed variety of coins. A little of each kind.

I just wanted to make sure you had meant 1988 and not 1984? I wasn’t aware of am 88 doubles ear.

Allow me to introduce my newest sorting helper:

I’m not the biggest fan of this method, since I won’t be searching the zinc cents anymore, but I had to make a decision what to search in order to reduce sorting time.

Here’s what I’ve got so far. Copper left, zinc right. I’ve yet to search it.
