Sorry they're so beat up @Beardigger, but if you see one you like, let me know, and I'll send her (him) off.

    Not that anyone's counting but, that's 5 W mint marks on a Monday. I average 8.65 a week.

1942 P! I've only found a few of these. Any nickel people out there? Looks like there may be a lamination issue on the obverse? But silver isn't laminated, is it?

*edit- i counted my 1942Ps. 8 of them. Zero S and zero D. Not as rare as i thought.

Not seeing a lamination but anything is possible underneath all that gunk.

For the stained "W"'s if you are so inclined, soak them in Acetone, then rinse with cold water. Then pat(not rub) them dry.
The acetone could remove some of the discoloration, and if it doesn't, if won't cause further harm. Acetone is one of the few solvents that is water miscible, which means water can mix with it and be rinsed away.

Thanks @dano. I have acetone right here. I'll give her a little bath, see what happens. And as always, thanks for stopping by!

@Bradley Trotter, as always, thanks for stopping by. Need any circulated nickels from 1946-1959 for any albums? I've got all years, and all mint marks, on the side. Let me know. That goes out to anyone interested.

No thanks, @CoinJockey73. I hoard just about every pre-59 nickel I come across myself. Regardless, thanks for the offer though.
