Also, a lot of wheat pennies today. All i needed was the '47, for the trifecta. I might have had the '47 earlier, but i threw it into the hopper, never thinking I'd see another wheat today, let alone three more, lol. Into the hopper, after pics. Hope no one needed any.
I have a 25lb bag of pennies, lol. And yes, that's a wheatie, little lower left center. Mixed in now that i moved the bag. Oops
Meh. It's ok. It'd be better if i weren't missing so much. You gotta help me devise i new system of searching.
3 day haul It looks like a lot more than individual pics i posted because it is. I don't post pics of all the nickels i keep. It gets boring, lol.
Early start = early finds. I think that's 7 quarters, this week, so far. First duplicate date of the week, second '61. I'll lay them all out later. Show my mental way of keeping track, sort of.
That quarter has a proof die reverse. Notice that there is a distinct space/gap between the E and S of STATES. The proof die reverse is listed as a variety in Cherrypickers for those quarters dated between 1956 and 1964, if I’m not mistaken. (I do not have the book with me at this time). Also, I noticed another example of a proof die reverse in a very early OP post. Very good finds! Dan
Thanks Dan. Someone pointed out the reverse on a '56 i had found. I'll compare this to that when i get home. Just looking at the pic though, i can plainly see what you've pointed out. The "s" looks markedly smaller than the other letters. Or that might be my eyes playing tricks on me. Been staring at coins all day, lol.
Got rushed this afternoon, so i know i missed tons of stuff, but i didn't get totally skunked. So a '39, '40, and '41 in nickels, and that '61 quarter that @buckeye73 was kind enough to point out, with the rare reverse. Pretty weak day, but the week total is looking good. I'll line up and post later.
