I still check each bill I get for stars or anything else interesting, but they don&#039;t excite me to a high degree. However, seeing the notes that were also in my father&#039;s small stash...it was right them and there I became a paper money collector. One note was a Africa Emergency note. Another was a large size 1923 $2. There was a 1957 Silver certificate and a 1928 red seal in there too. I became hooked on paper money the same day as I was hooked on coins. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>In retrospect, that day will likely go down in my personal history as one of the most important days of my life.
