What can you tell me about this old Egyptian copper piece?

    Hello all...

So, I've run across this coin, which was labeled as "Egypt 1870 (Yr 10) 40 Para":

    187.1.jpg 187.jpg

Can anyone verify what this coin is and whether it looks genuine? The arabic date is 1277 on bottom and Yr 10 on top. Diameter is 37mm and weight is 24 grams. To my eyes, it looks like the KM 248.1 - the KM 249 has a rose on the obverse - (making it 1869, not 1870) but that coin should weigh 25.63 grams as minted. Labeling error?

    Thanks!

there is a size difference between the KM#249 40 para 36mm and the KM#248 40 para 37mm. hope this helps out ???

I would go with KM#248 40 para 37mm size. Bronze.
