I haven't started one of these threads in a while and it's always fun to hear what everyone is up to :) What kinds of collections is everyone currently working on? I think it's a great way to open our eyes to items of interest that we may have otherwise overlooked. I'll start.... STILL worlking on my date set of Morgans. I only have 5 holes to fill and 2 to upgrade...almost there! :D I've dipped my toes into the waters of French gold (thanks GD ;) ) and will probably add to that when the right one comes along. Half of the fun is in the hunt! I've been having a ton of fun with a Dansco Type Set album. I'm trying to fill it with dates that are significant to me personally (birthyears etc) where I can, and in the spots I can't I add 100 years if possible. For example I chose an 1897 IHC for Joe's birthyear + 100 years. It's been a great learning experience as I've been researching each type before I make any purchases. The Bowers Type Set Redbook came out just as I began this endeavor...thank goodness as it's been immensely helpful! My 1997 bullion set for Joe is coming along nicely. Although I think I've almost exhausted all of the possible additions I can make to this. Now I may add other interesting (world & US) pieces to it (possibly commems, world currency, etc) and have thought about doing the 100 year thing with this collection as well. Who knows, maybe I'll come across one of them purdy gold angels dated 1897 to add to this one ;) I've slowly begun dabbling with Walkers as well. I've always loved these but unfortunately they have taken a back seat to the type set lately. But not for too much longer. And of course we cannot forget about Joe's ever-growing collection of world coins. His favorites being anything odd-shaped. He currently has 2 large binders containing more than 180 different countries...Fun Stuff! Those have been my primary pursuits lately...what are yours?
