I'm a visual person as many of you know. I enjoy creating info-graphics on the computer. I tend to think in pictures more so than in written and spoken words. I suspect that some of it is a result of a mild case of auditory dyslexia. If someone reads me a list of numbers such as an address or a phone number, I have a tendency to write down the numbers in reverse order. To complicate things, I'm left handed so I'll drag the heal of my hand over atrocious reverse order handwriting and smear the ink. This makes me a terrible telemarketer or fundraiser. All of this considered, I'm excellent at reading scripted material out loud in front of large groups of people. I guess this is one of the reasons that I've been able to serve rather favorably as a Deacon of the Church. Anyway—I'm a visual person and here is one of my favorite books. Here are more of my favorites.
Recommend the above? I've been in a bad mood so I've been rereading The Green Mile by Stephen King to cheer up.
FYI they are Tibetan Buddhist monastic text books... Well one is the diamond ritual of generation yoga and the other smaller one is call the diamond cutter sutra. Sent from my C6740N using Tapatalk
Yes I do. It is a good read. I have gone back and re-read several sections. It has several sections on the history of coins in Egypt and it also has sections that examine specific hoards in some detail. It provided a good background on the coins and it provided more information for me on my Dattari collection coin in that it provides some details as to the makeup of some hoards as to ruler and time period.
Deacon I write left handed but shoot & everything else right hand. I'm also dyslexic, over the years I've learned to read a book as well as the next guy as long as I read to myself. Outloud someone would think I'm illiterate, I sure can't spell. I have to double check my writing especially numbers I tend to foul that up quite a bit.
WM. Paul Young - The Shack was a great book. (Christian Fiction.. sounds like a Oxymoron to me ) Haven't seen the movie version yet. Just got his second book - Cross Roads
