    Numismania You hockey puck!!

I'll second that!! Absolutely nothing interesting about commemorating the issue of a coin design.

1)I just don't get the hoopla about labels (I prefer to collect coins, not labels).

2)I don't get why Lipton had to bus in hundreds of 'actors' to stir the pot, when interest was already there.

3)I don't get paying close to 1 oz's worth of $$ for 3/4 oz of gold.

4)I don't buy the reported $100,000 of the FIRST PURCHASED was 'legit' (just one of multiple attempts to inflate/manipulate the market for these coins by Silvertowne/Lipton).

5)I just don't get paying (or buying) the ridiculous prices reported.....all for a BULLION COIN MINTED TO ORDER.

6)I don't get why the Mint has to sell a highly anticipated new product at a major show, which crushes the ability for anyone NOT attending this major show, to get a 'hot', 'flipper's' special label (see #1), in the first place.

It absolutely blows my mind as to what turmoil, nonsense, the outright blatant attempts to manipulate the market, that accompanied the sales of a coin where there are numerous reports of examples being 'spotted up' coming from the mint. Look at some past sales on ebay and check the images and notice the spotting problems on some PR70's...some look just awful, comments from members of various coin forums with reports of their coins being spotty...just total lunacy associated with this BULLION coin. Minted to order and THIS insanity, this lunacy, happens? Something's wrong in River City, IMO.

MCM will inspect your coins. IF they qualify they buy, if not you get them back.

    I'd be careful.

So I sold my Kennedy at the show for $3,000 cash to a big time dealer. I was second guessing that decision... I have been watching a few show graded PF70 coins, and just saw some sell in the $2,700 range on ebay. Boy am I glad I sold when I did!

I wish I had gone to the show like I had planning. I would have also sold it but I've seen a couple 1st day Chicago coins sell for close to $5k. These coins have cost me a lot already I hope they pay off. I couldn't believe Apmex had AGE for $20 over spot last night. With CC rewards thats an eagle under spot but I could have bought my yearly goal last night instead of dumping all my gold money into 5 3/4 oz pieces. Hopefully I can get lucky with the grading and sell 4/5 of them, and buy some cheap gold/silver.

I like that pcgs has a 9/3 cut off date for FS coins and I bought these to flip into a free one hopefully. Grading was on the high side though I'll give you that.

My Gold Kennedy ordered at about 12:30 am (2nd day order, that's when I got back home from buying another kennedy at the ANA show) is now in stock and reserved. This kind of surprised me. Didn't they sell over 50,000 first day? Does that mean that many have now shipped, or are about to? If I get it in time, I might send in for early release grading!

Did you request a minimum grade or "any" grade?
    Good luck on your submission.

No, max should have been #500 at each mint + the ANA, and possibly one other location.

    3 mints + ANA = 2,000 per day.

I'm hoping they don't get many out before 9/3. I don't need to many FS pcgs 70s other then mine. I'm really hoping I can make enough to keep one for free.
