Nice ranch! I'm about done buying for this year also---my dealer has a 1916-D dime and a 1942/1 dime on their way back from grading and so I might be doing some trading ---he said that he would give me $4 for Silver Halves and for a few years I collected everyone I could so I should have a good amount to make a trade with! \ All the pennies ever made? Looking at my Red Book I can see that in AG-3 there are 9 pennies made in 1807 and before that cost over $500 each. An 1856 Flying eagle cent goes for $6,000 in good condition and the 1909-S VDB starts at about $500. Even if you don't count the colonial coins that's a pretty tough set to complete. If you're really missing just 8 pennies that would be quite impressive. The large cents go for at least $14 and there are 64 years of them. I've seen some of your other posts and you are always asking about the value of coins such as a 1974 cent so I'm confused as to what you mean. If you own every penny ever made but 8 why ask about a worthless 1974 cent when you could ask about a coin that's 200 years older and more interesting. I'll assume you have a coin folder and need 8 slots to fill it. I've noticed you've talked about wheat cents so I'll guess you have the 1909-1940 + 2 more current books. Needing just 8 coins there is much more realistic although there are a few there that are still very expensive especially in a decent grade. It's good to see that you enjoy collecting but you have to realize the first one cent coin ever made isn't the 1909 Lincoln Cent, it's a 1793 Flowing Hair Large Cent (larger than a quarter) valued at over $2000 in AG-3 condition depending on which version you get.
