What are these "machine gun" hits...

    I still don't know what these are, what causes them, and how they effect grade. They're very prolific in my series (Washingtons). I can't say that in the last 5 or so years in which I've been working on my set, one person has addressed these "machine gun hits" in any thread. I know many share my ignorance.

    Lone gun has it about pegged, I collect this series in MS. And I see more clashing reed marks all over these coins. Unless it came from it mint set, the odds of getting a lustrous example without the bag reeding marks is pretty slim.

    There was a scene in "The Lost Boys" where one of the vampires bit a guy in the top of the head. :yes:

    I think there's a difference between biting for feeding purposes and biting to turn someone into a vampire.
