Hi! The coins shown were supposedly brought back from Italy during WWII by my great grandfather. That's all the back round information I have them. I would love to know more about their origin or possible worth as I haven't really been able to match them to anything. Both coins are greatly imperfect.

They appear to match known replicas from the 1970's.

I agree with Hommer. Is there a seam around the edge? Can you post better, close up pictures?

How much do they weigh in grams and what is their diameter in millimeters? Can you photograph them up-close and also photograph the edge of the coins?

What do you know about these 1970's replicas? I believe they likely are replicas. They still feel like metal but are lighter than most coins their size. I would still like to know where they came from if possible.

It's unfortunate but other countries are always selling our soldiers fake coins. That's been common knowledge for years. I don't know how your great-grandfather came across them but they're fantasy issue coins. Could be from China or as Trump would say on SNL, Gina. lol Better luck next time.

Okay, I realize this. However, I'm trying to figure out who made these coins.

There is no way to tell who made them. They have been made bay various private companies over the years in many different countries, with no markings of any kind to say who made them.

Europeans talk trash about American beers for tasting like water.
Tsing Tao Beer, however, is literally water. At a cool 3.3% ABV, I don't think it's legally considered beer...
    BUT - it's around $0.50 for a HUGE 600ml bottle so

Those would be "Royal" cob 8 escudos and worth a fortune had they been real.

However, they look like pretty obvious replicas to be.

Weight and better photos would help to confirm that.

My gut said at first glance that they don't look good.
