    It some kind of Post Mint Damage hard to say what caused it

    Your coin looks like it was hit with a punch, can't be sure without seeing the obverse side.

    I would venture a guess that somebody many years ago wanted to tie that dollar around their neck. Perhaps in remembrance of an event, or possibly even that they didn’t have the luxury of pockets. It appears there is wear around that hole that leads me down that crooked path.
