Now I haven&#039;t ever heard of any reapplication of the dentils as part of reworking a die, so I&#039;m assuming that showing the differeces in the dentils is sufficient to prove a different die. I had not mentioned that the dentils on Obverse 8 appear slightly closer to the 18 than on Obverse 4 because I&#039;m not sure how strike and wear would affect the distance in which they appear to extend into the field.
