GB 20p coin 2019 there a raised rim around the edge and the obverse seems to be off centre just wanted to know if it’s an error and would it be classed as a partial collar error ?

Justyn, I'm not familiar enough with the series to give you an answer, but hopefully others here will. Good luck.

It would appear to be a slightly mis-aligned obverse die.

You need to show the edge.

You do know those coins form a shield right?

I have 2 sets of these shield group coins. One was bought from the Royal Mint as a gift so I don’t know what the purchase price was. But the first complete set was assembled from circulation and brought back from England.

@justyn p …usually off-center coins have a percentage of missing design elements to have value and interest. Yours looks minor, missing rim section, call it maybe 1%…and maybe really a mis-aligned die (MAD). Also, for a 2019 it has advanced circulation; scuffing, excessive contact marks, etc. Unless you need it for the group set, I would let it go. Find a better one, it’s not too late.
