My oldest American coin: A Connecticut copper that I found in a bulk box of foreign coins.

Colonials are so cool. I hope to dip my toe in that pool someday.

I am not quite sure how to answer this. I have an eight reale minted in Mexico from a 1640 shipwreck, Mexico is definitely part of the American continents. I have an oak tree shilling from the part of America that became the US. First actual US coin I guess would be a Fugio.

Here is a 1652 dated Oak Tree shilling that was struck before the Pine Tree shillings. This piece was stuck sometime within the 1660 to 1667 range.

This is one of my favorite coins. In part because of the mintage date, the honest circulation wear and CAC approved. But more so because it is so lovely and has such great reverse strike.

Sorry, I snuck in the Voce Populi, minted in Dublin but circulated in Colonial America.

1798 Cent. Can't be much worse...but then it is a hunk of history! Polish_20210201_221051872.jpg
True color is much more pink from some harsh cleaning in the recent past. But for $5, what the heck.
