    That's OK, they got rid of the spot so you could have bought it for only $13,000 more than when it had the spot.

    If you enlarge the image you can still see faint traces where the spot was removed.

    Spot removed. Subsequent higher grade awarded. This is simply an example of somebody willing to drop the cash in chase of a number.

    To me, either price is way too much for a Washington quarter. If the word "rarity" has to have the adjective "grade" in front of it, then it isn't rare.
