In saving for my next Walker key date purchase, I have been working in catching up some of my modern sets, ATB quarters included. Being as such, I have just a couple of questions regarding the West Point Quarters: 1.) W quarters are only for 2019 and 2020 correct? 2.) Why did the mint decide to have these produced now? Demand for quarters that high that mints can't keep up or more of a collector promotional gimick? 3.) Why are they going for so much on Ebay?! Is mintage really that low for these or is demand super high? Thanks in advance for taking time to look and answer!
1. yes 2. Inspire collectors. 3. 2 million mintage, plus the 2020s have the privy mark that everyone wants because its 'new' and one year only. Mix of mintage and demand. About 10 bucks each, seems pretty fair to me. Hope this works, I tried to keep it simple
The plan and intent seemed to be fair. However, the execution was far from fair. Too many were dumped in to too few locations. Some areas are flooded with them while others will never see one. Another government scheme that went wrong for we the people. Therefore, I don't consider them part of the set.
