And the final lot of denarii from the date when I decided to cross over to the dark side and went on my binge buying spree. I'm not trying to show off but you guys have received and complimented my purchases so much better than on the modern coin forums, that I have enjoyed sharing them here.;)

    Julius Caesar Denarii

I liked the next one coz it seems to have captured the emotional state of the defeated nations/people

Brutus - a second example, without banker's mark

Cassius Longinus one of the assassins

    Marc Antony

    Octavian in Military attire

And finally.....Trajan. I think a well struck and good quality denarius

The whole lot (pun intended) is outstanding, especially as a first step into ancients : we definitely don't play in the same ground. Congrats, I'm impressed !!

I love all your choices, many of which are way out of my budget. Even so, I love to see them and I can dream, eh? The only one of this second lot of coins I have is this Julius Caesar:

Wow, 1934-guy => you're kinda like a cool fireworks show

Just when you think it's all over, there is another flurry of stars and bursts!!

... wow, those examples are also outstanding (congrats on blowing your entire life's savings on a handful of magic beans!!)

But seriously though...looking at values and current prices, I think I've bought these at prices I should be able to recover without too much difficulty. ;)

That is, IF I should need to sell any in the future.

    Just a bit crazy :D

Welcome to the darkside, and those are some really cool looking coins. Thats some nice binge buying, and as others have said, there is really no need to slab them.

What is this one? I want one, unless it is some $$$$$$$ rarity.

Edit. I presume it was minted in 52 BC or shortly thereafter by Julius Caesar? In that case I REALLY want one. :)
