Well, This Arrived Quicker Than I Originally Anticipated

About a week ago, I mentioned that I purchased a sestertius of Faustina Major in another thread, casually hoping it didn't become trapped in postal purgatory for the next few months. The last purchase I made from this particular dealer took almost a month to arrive from Germany. However, much to my astonishment, I actually received this coin only 10 days after initially purchasing it. Anyway, if you have any sestertii of Faustina I or any recent purchases that arrived quicker than expected, please don't hesitate to share.

I like it as well. Here is my latest Sestertius addition, from her husband.

Too bad it has some surface issues, but I can't complain.

Very nice! Always a fun treat when something youve ordered arrives earlier than expected.

Tracking the coin it went directly to SFO rather than being delayed in NY. Hence the speedy delivery.

Very nice, @Bradley Trotter! The DIVA FAVSTINA/CERES coinage of this empress can be further narrowed down to AD 150-161 because it's from the fifth and final phase of issues for her.

Do I have sestertii of Faustina I!!! But I'm going to post one with the identical reverse design but with a different reverse inscription and issued about five years before yours. It is often confused with yours, particularly on heavily circulated coins with worn reverse inscriptions.

    Faustina I, AD 138-141.
    Roman orichalcum sestertius, 25.61 g, 33 mm.
    Rome, AD 145-147.
Obv: DIVA FAVSTINA, bare-headed and draped bust, right.
Rev: AVGVSTA S C, Ceres standing left, holding corn ears and long torch.
    Refs: RIC 1116; BMCRE 1509-11; Cohen 79; RCV 4614; Strack 1286.
Notes: Likely one of a series of issues to commemorate the wedding of Faustina II to Marcus Aurelius. A similar design (RIC 1117) depicts the goddess holding corn ears and a short torch.

    Nice coin!

    You're lucky.

I just heard on NPR that the Postal Service is going to slow down deliveries, reduce hours and close some locations as cost-savings moves.

Thank you for the attribution correction @Roman Collector. I’ll update it once I get home later tonight.
