Nothing on the new $100 bill on the news or even on the web that Yesterday was suppsed to be the big release date for the new $100 bill. Nothing I've seen, anyway. Ah, well...
Not quite. This is from a BEP press release issued in early October: "The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (...) has identified a problem with sporadic creasing of the paper during printing of the new $100 note, which was not apparent during extensive pre-production testing. (...) the Federal Reserve Board will announce a new issue date for the redesigned $100 note as soon as possible. The originally scheduled issue date was February 10, 2011." Christian
They are quietly waiting for the furor over the effup to die down - then they will destroy the notes and start all over again. Might take 18-24 months or so.
