Weirdly pitted nickel

    Hey i know this is most likely PMD, but i was wondering what could have caused something like this. I've found nickels before that are slightly pitted on one side and hard to read, but this is just obscene. Maybe acid? Even the rim is pitted.

    Either acid or someone practicing sandblasting.
