    Yes, and it's also corroded, has verdigris, and looks porous....

    The green buildup...on the coin, almost looks like algae.

    Sort of seems like a typical ebay listing to me... old not so rare, not so nice stuff that will go for waaaay too much!

    That is not a real pretty coin, maybe dug? and the corrosion will only get worse. The rim is pretty funky too. But hey, it had free shipping.

    Verdegris is a corrosion product of copper, usually copper carbonate or copper chloride, sometimes copper acetate. What is seen on coins is pretty much copper carbonate as the copper acetate and copper chloride are water soluble.

    this is the type coin that i would sell at a show in the discount bin for a buck or so.
