I dont know if this is a mint error, or if someone just decided to grill up some pennies... Any of you pros know what this is? I found it in a bank roll.

Done in a vise, most likely. See how the design and letters are reversed on the inset? Another coin was squeezed against this one.
Thanks for feedback, ugly little mess. thats 2 coins in each pic, they looked molten at one time, they are still stuck together.
Ah. Then, yeah, grilled up, or maybe just a thick layer of glue with the reversed impressions - that actually seems even more likely. You could try soaking them in acetone and see what happens.
