Three of the most important subtractions to my diet have been to completely eliminate high fructose corn syrup from my diet. Believe it or not that is a very difficult thing to do since sooooo many food items (even cough syrups) include HFCS. </p><p><br /></p><p>The second best addition by subtraction to my diet was to drink water as my primary beverage during meals and between meals. Eliminating all soft drinks was huge. No more soda, at all.</p><p><br /></p><p>Third, I know this will be tough, I eliminated all alcohol.
