I'm not your friend. I tolerate you and your "little friend" that lets you do the talking for him. At one time, you both were on "ignore" but I took you both off so you could amuse me. When I'm tired of the nonsense, I'll "remove" both of you again. Out of sight, out of mind. In fact, why wait. No more problem. PS And now there are 3. Say hi to Charley.
BurrosCoins, asked: "Since this is considered a planchet flaw, is this error considered produced at the time of the milling process of the planchet?" YES. "I.E., a flaw caused by some foreign object being rolled in during the milling process of the planchet which caused a depression. Which is then just passed on during the pressing with the die because the die couldn’t reach to the bottom of the depression. If not, how would this type of planchet flaw be produced and at what part of the minting process?" To quote Bill Fivaz, "I wasn't there when it happened." The inside of the flaw is virgin planchet surface with no evidence of any impurity. The elongated shape suggests that a void was formed during the rolling or drawing stage when the strip was being "worked." This mark is called a planchet defect or planchet flaw. While it is a minor Mint error, in this case it is a distraction and lowers the value of the coin and possibly even its commercial grade. I'll post another quiz tomorrow or the next day.

I waited with my answers but decided to just stay away. I thought the thread started off great but too much bad blood between the members got in the way. Dear GOD folks. Can't we forget the past and move on with the fun?
So glad I am not a moderator any more ! I don't have to reply to nickering, barking, squeaaaaaalllling, complaining, etc. The fun is just watching and eventually learning Jim
