I get the impression that the new David Sear books are written at a much more elementary level, and pitched at a very different audience, than his book on the coins of the Roman Imperators.

You should spend 5 minutes of your life watching Steven trying to teach students how to make one dollar spaghetti. It will make you feel like a Michelin chef.

That may well be, but so far I’m enjoying it thoroughly. It saves me a lot of google searches per coin, and I find his way of presenting the material very good (as usual). I never really liked the Sayles books, and the Klawans book is far too thin, but this book is likely to be worn out.

    Beautiful, Q!

One of my big struggles is to quit French coins. Just can’t do it. I love the revolutionary coins.

I was approached to sell one of my Shadow transcriptions. Me: "How 'bout no?"
