MS64RB- It may just be a brown and not red/brown but I think it has just enough color to make it a RB. I think it is a nice coin.
58BN...very nice. Looks to be some ever-slight wear/rubs on the upper Liberty crown and the cheek/neck.
She's a beauty MS-65 thanks for sharing it. A few shallow nicks on the obverse, I would not be surprised if it were a BN or RB either. NICE!
MS-64 BN. I don't see any rub on this coin and the nicks on Liberty's cheek are all that keep it from 65. Some strike weakness or a case of die wear showing on obverse stars and hair above ear. But I could see a TPG putting this in a 65 holder.
I am a fraid some of us are going to do badly on this one......it is a beautiful specimen & with so many varieties on this date I gave up on trying to attribute. Sparrow whatcha got up that sleeve lol....
I'm not known for my grading abilities, but I'd vote for MS for sure, and probably 65 at that. No matter the TPG grade, that is one nice coin. Thanks for the post.
That's a gorgeous coin!! Surprised by the wide range of grades posted! I love it so I'm in at a MS65 RB!
Lots of guesses and comments so far, thanks everybody! I'll go ahead and post the grade. Some will be surprised and some not. I wish my photography could do this coin justice.
Thanks I feel like a fortunate custodian. It has a lot more mint red around the date, and on the rev around the devices, than shows up in my photos. Just a really pretty large cent and just what I wanted for type.
I figured AU 58 because it looked like there was a rub around the eye. If not, then MS 65 brown. My second choice was right however, I think the EAC grade would be 58.
