We all missed it - even Heritage Auction missed it! https://www.ebay.com/itm/1913-LIBER...=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
we missed it twice... lol https://www.ebay.com/itm/1913-LIBER...588359?hash=item34096f4c47:g:Nm8AAOSwAWNcnci5 0 feedbacker for ya!
I only collect DDO1 1913 Lib head nickels. And for that kind of money it would have to be a confirmed consensus DDO1 from the What Do I Have Here Room.
EBay is a shameful disgrace to let this nonsense continue. They only care about their commission, but this coin will have to be returned for a refund since it is a poor counterfeit.
eBay is scared to death to hire people to police the listings. After all, they might want decent wages and health coverage, God forbid! eBay can kiss the bottom of my foot and anything else that is handy.
I've grown weary of sifting through all of the fake coins on eBay, and of reporting them with no followup. Tired of their willful neglect, I've come up with my favorite new name for eBay . . . Counterfeit Central . . . if they don't start taking fakes more seriously, their tag line could soon be "Whether you want it or not, we'll make sure you get it."
Anybody who even has a basic knowledge of coins, knows that there are 5 of these, proofs, and they are all accounted for, documented, slabbed. They think they are buying the 6th one for $2000 when it costs over a million?
Awwww come on. One of the greats (if you're younger than the mountains and older than the trees ). You remember Trading Places? Mortimer Duke was Don Ameche.
