Wax On, Wax Off?

    I have never tried butter. Does it leave a rancid or any other kind of odor?

    Here are images that I posted on the other current thread concerning Renwax. This is an 80 drachma of Cleopatra VII.

    Here's the before, after cleaning with distilled water and acetone (there seemed to be some nail polish on the coin). The surfaces are somewhat rough.

    Here's the after, with two applications of Renwax.

    The surfaces are rather glossy, and the color more even, especially on the obverse. The second photo was taken with a flash.

    I would not use Renwax for all bronze coins, but it seems that this example benefited from the treatment.
