Not a bad looking coin other then that cheek hit. And your pictures need more lighting I'd say. Not bad other then that too
I don't understand the OP's question? The consensus seems to be that the coin was OVERGRADED if anything... Difficult from the photos, but my original thinking was AU58 also, one for the scratch and then the weak strike that appears on the motto, though that must just be the picture considering the grade... It seems the reverse presents much better, however... But why would you send it back to PCGS? For what purpose? Someone educate me... I guess the idea being they would buy it back from you at market value for MS64 if they admit the overgrade?
I've put in bold something that I will comment on. That is, this is a 1932-S WQ and all 1932 WQs from each mint have what is known as a "light motto" where even on the highest of MS grades the motto melts into the fields and might not be completely visible. This feature is within the design itself and is not indicative of a weak strike. The motto was strengthened in 1934 when three versions of the motto were tried out and then a bit later a uniform motto style was chosen.
See, that's why I come here, to learn, learn, and learn some more... I didn't know that and from the pic it just looked like an area that had a little wear on the highest areas of the motto... Thanks for the info...
