I can&#039;t find much info on US State Quarter errors as there seem to be relatively few.</p><p><br /></p><p>Major defining characteristics are:</p><p>1) Much thicker than regular quarter</p><p>2) Slightly smaller diameter</p><p>3) Reeded edge only about 5% present and not at all in most places</p><p>4) Much deeper lip on reverse</p><p>5) edge does not seem to be perpendicular to the faces of the coin - it&#039;s noticeably trapezoidal when looking on it edge wise - with the acute angled wider diameter side being the obverse and the obtuse angles smaller diameter being the reverse.</p><p><br /></p><p>You should be able to readily see all of these in the cell phone camera images and they are much more apparent in person.</p><p><br /></p><p>Obverse seems pretty standard and don&#039;t see much in the way of doubling or anything else indicating it was struck more than once.
