Get it straight, people: The "D" mint mark means the coin was imported from Djibouti. Don't you guys know anything??
Yeah, like, that mint mark is just a "D" you know. It could represent anything: Denver, Dallas, Djibouti, Duluth...Donuts.... Kind of reminds me of that brand of underwear my wife buys me: "BVD" I think of what those letters mean sometimes. Really, what DOES "BVD" stand for? I can come up with the "B" and the "D," but I can never figure out the "V."
Welcome to the club... Unless some of us here were tutored by a knowledgeable collector at the very beginning of the coin journey, we have ALL had that same thought.
The manufacturer, Bradley, Voorhees & Day. Sometimes I scare myself with all the stupid trivia crap I've picked up at one time or another.
Maybe he was just confused and thought of "mint cars"? They have produced some pretty "mint cars" over the years ya know.
Does the feedback and ratings even matter on bay. That is the first thing that I look at and tho I’ve never sold coins, I have music equipment and I am always concerned with keeping my good rating.
Silly Boosbuddy, for the coin to be minted at the Punxsutawney, PA mint, it would need to have the mm "PP".
Then there are dolts like this guy. He actually puts up a photo of the edge of his “silver” coin claiming “the edge never lies”. Item#124028565371
