Well, I decided today to build me a set of uncirculated Silver War Nickles. Here is my first uncirculated one for the set. I paid $5.70 for it shipped. What do you guys think of the price? I am an old poot coin collector on a budget. Just thought I would see what you think of my purchase. You won't hurt my feelings. LOL. I just like the looks and history of them. 1943-s nickle reverse.jpg 1943-s war nickle.jpg

I'm not up on prices, but I think that this is a neat project. No expensive "stoppers", if you ignore the overdate.

Pretty stellar silver war nickel. Not 100% up on what Grey Sheet would say here, but I think that's a great buy at $7.

The key to coin collecting is eye appeal. If you like it I think it is the best available. Nice 1945.

Looks nice. There are plenty of nice little Capital Plastics holders and such for the short set of War Nickels, too.

A very nice looking coin at a more than fair price. A few of those War Nickels will be on the costly side so start saving up to buy them.

Thanks for the tip on the coin holders. I'll see if I can find one. Best place to buy suggestions? Thanks again.

Look at Capitol Plastics or at Wizard Coin supply. Wizard has good prices.

I second the suggestion of Wizard. Capital Plastics is spelled with an “a” and no “o”, I believe.

"Capital" versus "Capitol" is confusing at the best of times.
