Resistance is futile. Ricky: Read Hobo's post it explains how we get to the silver value in wartime Jefferson Nickles. Hobo thank you for the math lesson, now I know for sure I know less than a 5th grader. I mean by that the simple math...not you.

Ricky is gone. He got angry last night and quit CoinTalk "forever". I guess he got frustrated that he couldn't become an expert numismatist in a week or two.

In case it is not obvious - I like math. What I did above is pretty simple when you break it down.

I wasn't on last night and missed his departure. Read his last posts. Some people (kids in particular) get frustrated when they cannot magically become the expert overnight. Well c'est la vie, you never stop learning, hopefully he will get that message. I do actually understand the math, just a little self-deprecation humor on my part. I did like the way you broke it down for him, he is only 9 (at least that's what he's posted, could be 45 for all I know) and I thought it very clearly showed him how to figure the bullion value of the silver.

So the little guy quit, eh? Im guessing a mod deleted his post, because I can't find it.

Edit: Ok, I looked a little more and found out it got moved. When I click on it, it says I can't access it.

I'm quite interested in this whole ordeal.

If you didn't see it he said his main reason he left was because of me. I felt bad and sent him an apology letter through pm telling him not to quit, I'm sorry, etc

I see. What I'm wondering is if the post is truely off limits to me. Because if the mods didn't want to have it up anymore, wouldn't the they simply delete it instead of moving it?

No, it is still there. You can go to that thread by clicking on his screen name which will take you to his profile page. If you click on 'Find Latest Posts' you will find the thread.

You will also see that he checked in today without posting. Probably just wondering what people are saying about him and his departure.

Ok...Is opting in like an oath you have to make to become true member of CoinTalk? =)
