I just got 10 Brinks nickel rolls from my bank and found 42 war nickels ten 1954 nmm and a 37 and 38 buffalo. I also got $50 in dimes and found 33 silver dimes, $50 in quarters three of the rolls were entirely bi-continentals, and a box of pennies and got 106 Wheaties and 10 Indian Heads , I am happy happy. I noticed all of the wrappers were end of roll wraps with the pink ink on them. Maybe I should start asking for those more often.

    Winged Liberty Heads or Roosevelts?
Can you post a picture of all the silver in a nice pile?

    1) Great score! I'd go back and check for quarters, halves, cents, anything
    2) Based on your picture, none of those look to be worth more than melt.
    3) I noticed that you labeled the mercs with a "W". FYI, the "W" is not the mint mark. It is the designer's initials. The mint mark will be on the bottom left area of the reverse.

That isn't counting the 40 1950's - 1960's Nickels either. Their are about ten that are full steps.

I wrote that on the ones that have a clear W with full bands.

I don't worry about the value of them like most people. If they were meant to be sold someone else would have ended up with them.

This is the time to search. A lot of uncertainty and people cashing in their change.

This begs the question - in an apocalyptic situation, is paper or metal money more valuable and more useful?

    Lead w
Lead will be worth more than silver in an apocalyptic situation unless your fighting off werewolves. I mean really what good is gold and silver if your dead? J/S

Lead gunpowder and brass and a way to discharge it accurately, followed by TP and bottled water.
