I think it is funny also. Aidan, could you explain to me what he is doin illegal? He is telling the truth throughout it, I don't think he is claiming it is something it isn't. If he was, then that would be false advertising and that would be illegal. I hope you don't take offense, but what is he doing wrong??? Now I'm really confused. I don't see where he is doing something illegal. If he is, what is it that he is doing illegal? I don't see it.

He's selling a cent for $10 start, not exactly remarkable (neither is the 1cent he's listing )

 

Checked to see if anyone bidded and it looks like he lowered the starting bid to 2 cents. Still curious if someone will bid on it. That would be funny. He has some imagination to describe the coin like he did lol.

Okay. Everyone feels different on different things. I hope I don't and haven't offended you, but where is it that he has done any harm or doing something illegal. I can see where some people can see it stupid, and where some people see it as funny. I don't want to argue over somthing with people that isn't worth the argument. I hope there is no friction between us, or between me and anyone else on this board. I know some things we and other people won't see eye to eye on, everyone has different opinions on different things. I try to respect other people's feeling on different matters, and if you would like the subject and conversation dropped, I will not reply to this thread anymore. If you want to keep the conversation going, fine with me. If not, still fine with me. It is your call man. I hope I haven't offended you, or anyone else with this post or my other posts. The ad is obviously humorous and if someone bites or he even if he get's his minimum - far out.

In no way is he misrepresenting what he's selling - he's reliving the history that has taken place since this cent hit the street. He's not breaking a law.

Cripes, I could advertise a genuine set of jungle utility trousers from vietnam circa 1969 size 28" (don't laugh I was), recite two pages of history about the war and all the mind changes I went through and put a Buy It Now at $1,000,000 with a starting bid at whatever and there is NOTHING illegal or immoral about it. Nothing. Are they worth $1M? Maybe not to you, but they might be to me.

It's all relative.

And I think the ad is very funny and a nice change of pace compared to the real sleezebags that sincerely try to cheat people.

That's what I've been trying to nicely say. If someone showed me something saying that it is wrong and illegal, than I will shut up. And I don't want to egg on or start an argument, but I'm waiting for your reply Aidan. I haven't been on until now, been out all day. (By the way Rono, lol on the trousers)
