My site had the plans for the simple one. Postage would be more than it is worth. Try to find someone locally who can build it. Perhaps a high school wood shop teacher could put you in touch with someone. It takes about 30 minutes with hand tools; less with power. The notches are optional and take half the time. You do not need finish/paint.
You never hung a CD from the rear view mirror of a car? Hear tell that when 'Da Man' aims his radar gun at your vehicle, the signal just bounces aimlessly and he gets a false reading. Wish I had had one hangin' a few years back when I was returning from Florida. I was 7 miles from home (on the LIE) and had to 'go' real bad. The devil clocked me at eighty.... A blessed and safe New Years to you and your family as well. Kiss Dad as he's a real hero.........
@Michael Terry - I cannot criticize Dougs camera stand but if making one is beyond your capabilities (as you say) then in the interim you could purchase this item (or one like it) as I did. I find it very satisfactory when using the 2x second 'delay' on my camera to eliminate 'shake'. See item number 400804147749 on eBay
