Back to the topic at hand, I've got a buyback offer from Ray at Macrocoins.com to fall back on, if the one person who has messaged me about the setup and I do not come to some kind of agreement. I'll cease discussion of the sale or swap now, and post no more OT creepy joke pix. We can make this a photography discussion if anyone wishes to resume in that direction. Personally, I wouldn't mind some discussion of cellphone photography with smple, minimalist setups.
My setup is as ugly as that last image I posted so get ready for it.... A broken cell phone and a clip on 14X lense. Or a 2 year old IPad mini. The Phone does okay but like always it’s all about the lighting. Here are some images I’ve taken remember I’m not a pro and I just want them in focus and close for what I do. Enjoy laughing at my setup I know I do! I’m sure you’ll want to do better than I do but you asked. Lol. Reed.
I still use my slightly older phone for medals and things too big for my camera set up. Playing with lighting is one thing (and you can use the Ikea lights you have--they are a bit on the warm side of the spectrum). Having a steady something to balance the phone (a flexible mini tripod, a box, a stack of books etc). The best thing though is a bluetooth shutter release like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EUAS20U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I think some headphones that plug in can be used the same way, to trigger the shutter. I can do this with my older phone: and a very simple photo editor to do the circles/background. IIRC that is about 70 mm diameter. Newer phones I'm sure can do even better with smaller items. I find my phone doesn't do so hot much under a 50 sen.
