Finally dug out my "WIP" short set. I'm missing 41S, 43D, 43S, 44 and 44S. I've been working on this set since November of 2009:

I'm going to my LCS in the morning and we'll see if i can add one or more to this set. They also have a 3-legger and a draped bust cent showing on their website that I want to see in hand. May have more to report after my visit!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Stay safe!

Thanks for the advice, Cheech. I intend to do that very thing. Also, while I’m upgrading, I want to make them all one TPG.

I think a proper dip will remove the toning, but if I dip it for too long, which I have done in the past, it tends to remove luster as well. It is a good candidate for dipping, so I might give it a try.

That's what i refer to in my post, this one has an abundance of flow lines and its a PR 67. Would someone pay more for a more hazy PR 67, than less for lss hazy PR 64?

Are you buying them graded this worn out, or are you submitting them to be graded. Did you buy them because of a low price, or is it a rare coin? I am trying to wrap my arms around why it would be graded. Thank you all who reply.

These are 2 of the 4 keys for the series. I buy all of my keys graded and at this grade, it was the best I could afford.

Yah, they are getting pricey! Just like 1950 Proof Franklins!
