VOC Japanese plate from the Asian Art Museum (and a coin)

    Wound up having some time I needed to wait in the city, so I stopped by the Asian Art Museum. I liked this "VOC" plate they had, which was made in Edo Period Japan. Apparently, it was imitative of earlier Chinese export works. VOC Plate.jpg

    So this post is not too far off topic, here is one of my VOC coins:
    These used tb be pretty cheap in low grades. Usually $1-2 US.

    That's a cool plate! I like VOC coins. I have a few, and even more on my wish-list.
