    Maybe his account name was considered an improper advertisement for his youtube videos. I know of at least one well-known dealer who was allegedly banned for putting a link to his website at the bottom of his posts.

    I hope that isn't the case, would be a bit extreme!

    I don't mean to say the admins need to explain to everyone else why someone was banned (though in some cases it could be warranted for the sake of transparency) but from talking with Classical Numismatics it doesn't appear he was given a reason for the ban. Shouldn't the user who is banned be given a reason at least?

    Anyway, I haven't heard back from the admins, seems they don't intend to look into it (or say if they are), and I believe Classical Numismatics has given up trying to get reinstated.

    Well, that's a really disappointing end to the matter.

    As I have said and posted many times before, nobody is ever banned from this forum without just cause - not ever ! And there is nor has there ever been anybody, not even 1, who has ever been banned from this forum that I was not aware of it, and fully aware of it.

    And, as I have said, and posted on my profile in response to messages, and in response to private messages - CT staff will not discuss these matters with other members. We will not even confirm or deny if a member has been banned or not.

    If you guys want to talk about it, then talk about it. But I will not, I have said everything I am going to say on the subject. And no, I will not respond to questions about it. We will not discuss it means exactly that.

    Now if any member ever has questions or concerns that pertain directly to them, they can contact me at any time and I will always talk to you about it. But only if it's about you. If it's about somebody else it won't happen.

    How can the banned member in question get in contact with you guys? That's always the problem - you refuse to actually talk to those people who have allegedly been banned with just cause. Most of them have no idea what they've done to warrant the ban.

    I'm not asking for you to give us any info on why someone gets banned but I'd really like to know in case I ever for some reason get a random ban which seem to be handed out quite frequently
