I have this coin - a Vespasian AE1, (As/Dupondius/Sestertius) AE 27.6 mm., 10.93 gm., Ric 894 (new). Can anyone confirm that I have the attribution correct, please? (Because of the 'worn' detail, I am not 100% sure that I have the attribution correct.) Can anyone tell me the 'old' RIC number? Thank-you.
I have a match with you TC!! Pretty much the same condition also. Vespasian, AE As, 76 AD IMP CAESAR VESP AVG COS VII,laureate head right S-C, Spes standing left, holding flower and raising hem of skirt. 26mm 10.3g RIC 894
@chrsmat71 Nice one! They are a match, aren't they? (Although I think that yours 'outshines' mine.)Lol

You forced my hand, Randy... I'm pulling out my "Judaea Capta" sestertius for the first time ever... Yeah, I think it may have seen a few pockets in its time...
I'm currently trawling my way through Simon Scarrow's 13 book Eagle series, with Vespasian figuring prominently. (great way to learn history!) Here's my only Vespasian, posted before, and the same as yours.
