Need a little help identifying this one.

I can see the word five on one side and believe it is from Egypt. 5 Milliemes? Not sure on year though.

Am I right on Country and denomination, and what is the year? Egypt.jpg

    Thanks...Mont

You are correct. 5 milliemes from Egypt. It's probably around 1917.

    doug444 STAMPS and POSTCARDS too!

In 1916, Egypt put out new holed coins concurrent with the British Protectorate and French occupation, denominations of 1, 2, 5, and 10 milliemes. Yours could certainly be the 5, Krause type KM #315.

Interesting sidelight, some of the holed coins were minted at the Heaton Mint ("H" mintmark) in Birmingham, England.
