It is truly wonderful to see. Looks like there's enough here for a start on several classic US series.
It’s thanks to the generosity of many coin collectors that I’ve gotten to where I am today. It’s always wonderful to see people passing things on to inspire young collectors.
This one I looked up last night. It's worth at least $150. I'm not selling nothing though. Keeping them all.
Well, someone has a high opinion of herself... I kid, I kid... Call me crazy, but I'm going to guess that the way you've conducted yourself (eagerness to learn, etc) is largely responsible for this fine gift. You took a few lumps early on, stuck it out, and have become an asset to the forum. Kudos! This place would greatly benefit from more like you.
Yup. The Shield nickel is a CircCam. So is the 1853-O half dime. @Shrews1994 - do you know what that "O" inside the wreath on the half dime means? (I love the ones inside the wreath as opposed to below, for some reason.)
I fear your estimate on the Barber half is a fair bit high and say this only for your benefit, not to take away from the generosity displayed.
It's a mintmark. So, tell us where that coin was made. The mint that struck that half dime stopped producing coins more than a century ago.
im reading about this one right now. It's all ready starting out cool!. wow this one look uncirculated!
New Orleans. And they are rare than thought. One with or without the arrows. There is two different types of these coins.
You see this is where you need to be careful with coins such as this. It may have been dipped and retoned. I'm NOT saying that this is a definite case of that, but it is something that you need to be aware of.
Sorry yeah I just looked it up. It said its said it was a highly collectible item from collectors will pay high price for them up too 150. But yeah you can't believe what you see on internet. It's in good condition so it 14$
