Steady hand, use a magnifier, and apply only to the corrosion spot forming a small dome of VC over it. Allow to stand 2-3 minutes. Touch tip to paper again to remove most of the VC. Put the tip on the spot and rotate back and forth and apply some pressure. You may need to clean the tip or repeat this a few times, if you flip the toothpick, rewet it with VC, dab mostly dry on paper. Never use dry implements. If the corrosion persists - leave it there. Dab off the excess VC and let it dry for a couple of weeks. Try to confine the VC to ONLY the corrosion spot as much as possible. Hope this helps and good luck in your conservation projects![/QUOTE]
