    Hello,

I am new to the forum. Just wondering if anyone has had experience purchasing from CJ Martin or Roy’s Coins on Vcoins. I searched older threads but couldn’t find anything particular on these dealers.

    Your help is appreciated!

I have bought from both with no problems. Moreso Roy then CJ, but both are pleasant to deal & work with.

I have purchased from Roy's. I had a good experience and purchased a fairly rare coin that he was willing to compromise on price.

CJ Martin has been good so far. Got two coins from him without problem.

I have had excellent dealings with the CJ Martin Co. I trust their expertise and integrity. Chris Martin holds impressive credentials in the British antique coin dealer community. He also has a stellar reputation to uphold: https://finds.org.uk/treasure/advice/people

Just a general question... do you find that VCoins dealers are open to reasonable price negotiation or are prices mostly fixed?

Some are open to negotiation, while others have politely directed me to a "more budget" ie. worn sample instead. Only once did a dealer respond negatively and told me to go pound sand when I asked if prices were negotiable. I can't remember who it was anymore though.

but what is reasonable to you might be unreasonable to a dealer.

I have always found that the question can be asked of any dealer. The worst they can say is no (thank you -maybe).

I would like to mention that I have always had great buying experiences with two prominent members of this Forum: @Victor_Clark and @Ken Dorney - excellent coins at fair prices, well documented and described, prompt delivery - and from well respected and knowledgeable dealers.
