I just dug through old emails to see if I was remembering the scenario correctly. The coin was going to be sent Global Express but I asked that it instead be sent through the much less expensive USPS (Priority or Express, but I forgot to say "flat rate") but I didn't ask the price. He replied that it would be sent express mail. That envelope is long gone so I can't check the price. I looked at the invoice which is still in Forvm-- I paid $45 for Global Express shipping. I don't remember if I had already checked out/paid at the time I requested the less expensive shipping. Maybe it was just a miscommunication. I greatly dislike dealing with this type of situation. I'll just do a better job of asking questions and verifying costs next time I buy a coin from Forvm . Also, I shouldn't have said "Express or Priority". I should have just requested Priority Mail Flat Rate. Express mail is ~$24-29, Priority Mail ~$7. So, I share some of the blame in this mistake.
This thread seems to have died. I have enjoyed the discussions and viewpoints it generated -- is there any consensus for use of the form proposed and generated by @silverbullion ?
Has anybody here bought coins from Oxus Numismatics? They have some coins that look interesting, but I am very hesitant to buy from dealers that I can't find any customer reviews about.
