Why? I seen plenty on eBay without the box or COA that sold just fine. You might get a few more dollars for including the box and COA, but from what I've seen plenty sell without them for not much less. I suppose there is a concern that you would get a clad set in the red silver mint case; but one, you can tell the difference between clad and silver. Washington is always looks a frostier white on the silver ones than he does on the clad ones. If you were really worried about getting cheated because somebody put clad quarters in a silver mint case then you should be just as worried they put the clad quarters in real box with a real COA (or even a fake reprinted box and COA).

I know I gonna get flack for this but I take them out of the mint cases anyway. Even though you can tell the differnece between clad and silver I also double check the edge to make sure there is no copper. I also prefer to store silver in intercept sheilds because unlike a lot of people, I don't like toning on my silver. I appreciate the natural toning process and will leave it on an old coin if it has natural toning, but when I buy new silver I want to avoid as much toning as possible. I keep the mint cases in the event I would resale them, which is extremely unlikely to happen in my lifetime anyway, but you can take the mint cases apart and remove the quarters without causing any damage to either if you're careful. As I said above I'll probably catch some flack for taking them out of the cases and for not wanting them to tone, but they are my coins that I paid my money for and I never plan to sell them so I will do as I please with them thank you very much
